Our first laser arrived in 1994, which made us one of the first sub-contract engineering companies in the country to have one. In 2007 we bought the Platino CNC 4 kW laser with a robotic serving and storage tower, giving the flexibility of 24/7 production and a faster turnaround.

The 4 kW laser
Very high dynamics: speed up to 140 m/min, acceleration 12 m/s² and full flying optics. Offline programming runs on Lantek software, with a raw sheet centring system, a high pressure cutting kit for special materials, an anti-collision safety device and quick-change lenses from 5" to 10".
Quick Piercing and the Laser Piercing Monitor (LPM) optimise the processing of thick material, and a 10" lens handles the very thick. An automatic pallet changer, sheet loader and flexible material handling complete the cell.
TowerServer
A compact, reliable loading, unloading and storage system with a 14 shelf tower. A handling robot with an automatic sheet thickness detector loads sheet straight onto the pallet changer, so only one sheet is ever picked up. It stores 3 tonnes per shelf, 42 tonnes in all, and lets us process urgent jobs quickly and safely.
Protected surfaces
Laser cut parts can be supplied with heavy duty plastic coating left intact, so the surface stays free from scratches during manufacture and transit. Parts shown with Nitto laser guard coating after CNC folding.
